Rattlesnake Lake and Moncton Ruins

Rattlesnake Lake is at a record low which has revealed some remains of the town of Moncton. So we decided to make a short trip out there to explore. Quick history is Moncton existed from 1905-1915 when it slowly flooded and was condemned. More info here: http://www.historylink.org/index.cfm?DisplayPage=output.cfm&File_Id=2436

The boys enjoyed looking for remains, mostly bricks and lumber.

Ryan found some old sort of rebar.

 Broken up cement.
We didn't venture to the South end of the lake, but looks like old remains of a boardwalk or possibly a small dock.
Ryan called me back to a spot of old railroad ties, easy to miss if you weren't looking! The photo below shows them better.

Sean giving us one of many history lessons. He wouldn't stop spewing theories of how the town was destroyed haha!

Initially Taylor didn't want to take a photo, but later warmed up to the idea :)
