San Diego Trip - Day 3

After two days of Legoland we decided that a beach day was in order for our first day in San Diego. Coronado Beach wasn't far from our hotel!

 Coronado is a beautiful area, but the beach is just breathtaking. We went early in the day so there weren't that many people out yet.

 Grandma walked the shore with the boys to find shells. A local showed them how to catch sand crabs in the surfline. One of our favorite details came in the form of little sparkling gold flecks that shimmered in the wet sand.

 We walked around after the beach, catching a late lunch and most of the shops before they closed. We loved all of the fountains and flowers. Here's a string of progressively silly shots of the boys:
